Arash Sadeghi is a civil and human rights activist and an expelled student of Allameh University of Tehran. His work has focused on documenting human rights violations in Iranian prisons and the poor conditions of prisons. He lost his mother during the security force's attack on his residence. He has also gone on hunger strike several times in protest against the arrest of his wife, Golrokh Iraee. Arash, who has been fighting cancer for a long time, was arrested on October 12 during nationwide protests.
