In Karaj, Alborz province, Amir Mohammad Jafari, a juvenile, was tortured during interrogations, reported the Coordinating Council of the Iranian Teachers Trade Association. His parents said that the last time they were allowed to visit him, Amir’s nails looked “shattered.” Arrested along with two classmates, Jafari has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being arrested at a protest in the city.
