Parham Parvari #61

25 years

The Islamic Republic of Iran's judicial system has charged the Kurdish engineer Parham Parvari from Saqqaz with "waging war against God" after he was forcibly detained during the public demonstrations in Tehran by IRI government forces. Parham was charged on November 9, 2022, in the Evin courthouse in Tehran. Mazhar Parvari, his mother, said that on Monday, October 3, 2022, his son was detained by government forces while returning from work in the middle of widespread protests in Tehran. It is important to note that Parham Parvari has been denied access to a lawyer and communication with his family up until this point, even though according to Islamic Republic laws he has those rights. He was only able to inform them of the allegations against him through a brief phone call to his family. He is presently imprisoned in Evin Prison's Ward 209.
